Choose one solid, variegated, or over-dyed floss fo all three hearts, or pick three and stitch each heart in a different color.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Perhaps I should issue a warning: stitching an overshot weaving draft as a cross stitch design is highly addictive! After stitching two of these, I am ready to start another &#8230; there are just SO many colors to choose from! And the humbug is cute and easy to assemble.<br><br>Well, to be fully transparent, assembly is easy if you have good light, magnification if needed (I did), and a quiet time in which to work. Most of my stitching time is spent relaxing on the couch while watching movies or binge watching one series or another, so a fat fob is essential to prevent constant scissor loss amongst the cushions. But, they would be delightful in a basket or bowl with other &#8220;smalls&#8221; &#8230; I love this trend and hope it stays around for a long, long time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is the one I made first. Well, it was the first and the second. You see, I wasn&#8217;t happy with it and took it apart and put it back together. The range of colors from turquoise to purple to baby blue within that one skein produces three very different hearts.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After figuring out what to do (and not do) with that first one, I had to stitch another so that I could put it together on camera to make the video tutorial. I already had the pink\/red skein (not visible in the photo, below) and the olive green, leftovers from when I stitched &#8220;Hearts Come Home at Christmas&#8221; and &#8220;Peace on Earth.&#8221; I needed a quieter blue than what I used in &#8220;Vintage Hearts #1&#8221; so I pulled out one that went with the muted leftover colors. Doing the smaller design is a good way to be sure you&#8217;re going to love the big design. There are so many threads on the market now that just didn&#8217;t exist in 1982 &#8230; and we all know that more threads means more stitch happiness!
